Sven "Smokey" Åsberg 100 Years!

The anniversary year of 2018 is not only the 50th anniversary of the circuit, it's also 100 years since the founder of Scandinavian Raceway, Sven "Smokey" Åsberg saw his first light!

Today, April 9th, Sven would have been 100 years old, and this was obviously noted when a group of close friends and colleagues from the circuit gathered for a simple flower ceremony at Svens bust outside Hotell Åsen in Anderstorp.

Now we just hope that Svens amazing and crazy idea of a racetrack on the bog outside Anderstorp will live on and maybe get to celebrate it's 100th anniversary too!
