Scandinavian Raceway Nostalgia
Scandinavian Raceway Nostalgia is the name carried by the association which has taken upon itself the responsibility of preserving and refining the time when Swedish motorsport was at its best. At Scandinavian Raceway in Anderstorp, several high-profile events took place in the 1970s and 1980s, including Formula One and Road Racing races. Since then, the ETCC and several Swedish Championships have embraced the circuit which is undoubtedly the most important one in Scandinavia.
Scandinavian Raceway Nostalgia creates a museum (it is an on-going, never-ending project) about the circuit and the arrangements that have taken place there, in order to make sure present and future generations do not forget the importance of the unbelievable events that once added splendour to the Swedish motorsport scene. Beside the museum, we can also offer club meetings (contact us for more information), conference opportunities and simulator experiences, all related to the racing circuit our association hails as the red carpet of asphalt.
Surfing the homepage, you will find - among much more - history of the track, background to the museum and some fantastic video clips featuring flamboyant personalities such as Sven "Smokey" Åsberg and Ronnie Peterson. We hope our initiative will give you the chance to re-live classic moments and spare a thought for nostalgic reflection, as well as increase your understanding of why we - Scandinavian Raceway Nostalgia - live to fight for the memories and feelings embedded somewhere out there, somewhere along the ample 4 kilometers of tarmac that would eventually change the history of motor racing...
